Dead End Suspension Insulators are Dead End 15KV - 69KV Silicone Distribution Class Insulators. The sealing technique, original design, Aluminum or Stainless Steel End Fitting, and other details can be offered.
Dead End 15KV - 69KV Silicone Distribution Class Insulators
These 15KV - 69KV Distribution Class Insulators are molded from Silicone Rubber exclusively. The end fittings are made from cast steel, galvanized with a 20,000lb to 30,000lb tensile strength. The fiberglass rod is made from Boron-free E-Glass. This design and range of Dead End Suspension Insulators was introduced to enable Orient to become a cost competitive worldwide supplier of Silicone Rubber Insulators. The 15KV - 35KV insulators all meet the ANSI SML rating of 15,000lbs. Due to the proprietary manufacturing process we use, the 46SKCE-SHP has a 20,200lb SML rating and the 69SK series insulators will meet the 25,000lb SML rating. These insulators have been tested to meet all of the ANSI, IEC and CEA standards. These Insulators are RUS accepted.
Sealing Technique for ORIENT Series Insulators
This range of Insulator has a unique designed interface of the End Fitting and Rubber surface that is in contact with the End Fitting. This interface design is used in conjunction with the Crimping Process and puts this area of rubber into compression in the metal end fitting ensuring a watertight seal. To add another level of protection, during the assembly process a coating of silicone sealant is applied to the interface between the end fitting and silicone rubber.
Original Design 15KV - 35KV Silicone & EPDM Distribution Class Insulators
These 15KV - 25KV Distribution Class Insulators are molded from either Silicone or our proprietary EPDM Rubber formulations. The end fittings are made from cast ductile iron, galvanized with a 20,000lb tensile strength. The 11/16th diameter FRP rod is the largest diameter fiberglass rod in the industry for this size insulator. These Dead End Suspension Insulators are RUS accepted and have been tested to meet all of the ANSI, IEC and CEA standards.

27KV Silicone Polymer Specialty Horizontal Dead End Insulator (RUS Accepted)
This Insulator was specifically designed for HORIZONTAL APPLICATIONS ONLY to replace "TWO 10" (254mm) Porcelain Disk Assemblies and is molded from our Silicone Rubber compound that offers excellent Hydrophobicity and excellent UB and Ozone resistance. End fittings are made from cast steel, galvanized. The fiberglass rod is made from Boron-Free E-Glass.
Aluminum or Stainless Steel End Fitting 15KV - 35KV Silicone Distributor Class Insulators
These distribution class insulators equipped with either aluminum or stainless steel and fittings are made for use in areas of High Contamination and Corrosive Environments such as coastal areas and in and around factories which very high pollution. The Aluminum version of these Dead End Suspension Insulators has been accepted by RUS. The electrical and mechanical specifications are the same as our standard line of distribution class insulators manufactured with galvanized steel end fittings.
