Pin replacement insulators are dimensionally different, and direct replacement pin insulators.
Pin replacement insulators are traditional insulators used for substations switch and bus supports consisting of pin type units and end fittings.
The structure of pin replacement insulators:
One or more porcelain shells
A cap and pin
All cemented together in to stacking unit
The advantages of pin replacement insulators can be designed in high voltage, such as 220kv. Pin insulator is only used for low voltage distribution systems, such as TR4 insulators. Pin replacement insulators are designed with correct height, bolt circle and electrical characteristics with no loss of system integrity or coordination, or modification of existing bus work.
Pin replacement insulators, which can be designed and manufactured in accordance with ANSI C29.9 standards used with good electrical and mechanical properties.
