ANSI 57-26 porcelain line post insulator is horizontal clamp top-cup base type, and ANSI 57-21, ANSI 57-22, ANSI 57-23, ANSI 57-24, ANSI 57-25 together referred to as clamp-top line post insulator.

The surface of the ANSI 57-26 porcelain line post insulator should be glazed enough so that water should not be traced on it.
